Close of Escrow (COE)

If it falls on a weekend or holiday

  • Close of Escrow (COE): If it lands on a weekend or holiday, it moves to the next business day.

All days are calendar days. Don't count the day of acceptance; the last day counts and ends at 11:59 p.m. Weekends and holidays (even Christmas) count and don't extend a deadline. The one exception is Close of Escrow: if the escrow company or the county recorder is closed on the COE date, COE happens the next day both are open.
